On 16th April 2009 D Barton had this to say about KLM UK... CAI-AMS in business. Surly check-in staff and very tired lounge. Flight departed and arrived 15 minutes early. The business cabin was only half full and crew were pleasant enough but weren't doing much. It took quite a long time for them to come around with welcome drinks and after dinner nobody was seen again until breakfast. Meals were a disappointment: at 330 a.m. a rather fatty dinner was served which consisted exclusively of pastry, a typical lounge food. Breakfast was served at 5.30 am, a full two hours before arrival. Unsurprisingly, nobody had any, including myself, as everybody was still asleep. My request to have breakfast at a reasonable time, say one hour before arrival, was turned down by the cabin crew. I got a glass of orange juice instead. How generous! The seats were very comfortable. Old but in excellent condition and, although not flat, good for sleeping. Overall, a good cabin environment but average service quality.
